About

I am 24 years old training for the 2014 Olympics in Skeleton. Skeleton is a winter sport, like Bobsled and Luge except I slide on my sled, on my stomach head first down the mile long track. The 2014 Olympics will be located in Sochi, Russia!

I began skeleton in 2005 when asked to come to Lake Placid and attend a week-long camp at the Olympic Training Center. Unlike anything I had ever done I headed to Lake Placid to give it a try. It was so different at first that it was scary, you didn’t feel like you had any control over what you were doing. Maybe because it was so different I became hooked. It was one of those things that is so different you don’t even expect yourself to be doing something so crazy!

I currently live at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY where I train (sprinting and weight lifting) during the summers and compete on the World Cup circuit doing the winter months of October through March. I travel North America and Europe with the rest of the Bobsled and Skeleton team competing against other athletes in the world, making friends and having some wonderful experiences.

A little less than 2 years until Russia, its exciting, crazy and sometimes stressful but always an amazing experience!
